Very similar to other places in this category. Good tasting. Fresh toppings and nice and cold on a hot day.

cheesygrapes.blogspot.co… Pinkberry (frozen yogurt) is what we think about when we are craving something refreshing and delicious. We take it to go and enjoy the original topped with fresh mango at home. Our first Pinkberry experience was in Koreatown in New York City and it was nothing short of AMAZING. I am SO glad that the ONLY Michigan store (so far) is in Ann Arbor!!! Read the rest on my blog (link above). Thank you! Leo C.

As a Froyo lover, welcome to MI!! I avoided the grand opening week and opted to wait until things settled a bit... so today, while making some errands, I decided to stop by and check it out... I parked by Macy's and entered through where old Arby's used to be... Pinkberry is located in the center of the mall... its with starbucks, etc., it is not in it's own building, rather it's a free standing food stand. When I got there, two people were working... one was behind the counter, the other working the open floor, giving out samples... They have three machines that pump out six flavors... They had mango flavored, so I sampled it and it was good... I ordered the medium, split with mango and original (note: I only get original unless I'm at Yogurtland). As for the toppings, I got strawberries, kiwi, pineapple, blueberry and granola bar. The total price - under $6. The original was creamy, but wasn't tart enough... You have to try hard to taste the tartness... maybe it was a mad batch? Don't know... but they need to increase the tartness... As for the staff, they are very friendly, smiling and inviting... they were all well trained in customer service and the product they sell. I hope they rotate the flavors... I'll stop by next time I'm at the mall to get my froyo kick!!

I LOVE LOVE PINKBERRY!!! Stumbled on it a few weeks ago on a very hot summer day. I am not an ice cream or a frozen yogurt person. But I am HOOKED!! "tangy frozen yogurt with a clean finish" only begins to describe the heavenly qualities this delightful concoction imparts. The fruit toppings are so lovely and fresh.. Pinklberry makes me VERY VERY HAPPY!!!

PINKBERRY! Oh my gosh! If you haven't been yet...just stop everything you're doing and GO! Run like the wind and get yourself some PINKBERRY! Every time I go there it seems like they have a new flavor to try. The employees always let you try them and they're super nice about it, in fact they're excited about their flavors. I always try a new flavor, but I always end up getting the original. It's so tart and yummy! I love that they don't charge for toppings, so GO NUTS! They always have these little Mango Swirl Pearls that are AMAZEBALLS! They offer a Pinkberry card which will allow you to get a free frozen yogurt once you buy so many, there is also an APP. I was just there yesterday and the guy employee was so nice, he made me smile and had such good energy. He didn't check me, so I don't have his name...but thanks for being so nice!

I don't often go to Briarwood but when I do it's hard for me not to resist the calling of Pinkberry. The husband is the one who usually stops me from going. There is usually a line but goes by quickly. My favorite flavor was the green tea but they don't have it right now so I usually stick to the original flavor. There's so many new yogurt places that have opened up but I still find Pinkberry to be the best. They have toppings like MOCHI which I love unlike some other yogurt places. When I've asked about mochi at these other places they look at me like I am crazy and/or have a blank look on their faces when I ask...sigh. All of Pinkberry's fruit that I've had looks and tastes fresh. Wish I had the coordination to shop AND eat yogurt at the same time but alas I don't.

I found myself craving a smoothie, and Pinkberry came to my rescue. The location is prime; right smack in the middle of Briarwood Mall. I was served by a cheerful worker named Matthew. He was so kind, and seemed more than happy to serve me. Right away he offered my partner and I samples, and we graciously took them. Pomegranate is delicious! There was a huge variety of toppings from Nutella, to shaved chocolate, to fruits and nuts. My experience with Pinkberry was really great. The only negative would have to be that is was a bit expensive at around $11 for a smoothie and a small froyo. Still, Pinkberry is delicious, and worth it in moderation!

It's legit Pinkberry but in an uber-depressing mall kiosk location. This is definitely so not LA.

You would think that this place would be delicious, being that the name of this place is so unique, but sadly no. They have all the different kids of FroYo behind the counter, so if you want a sample you must ask an employee. This is a problem as I like to try ALL of the different ones, this way I can taste them all, and I usually get full and end up not having to pay for any, maybe that's why they do that. So after you get 2 samples, you can't ask for more without being a jerk. The other thing is the price is a flat rate, not by weight. So they kinda go light on the toppings. I wish it was by weight, so I could add as much as I want. I would recommend going to the local DQ and having a Blizzard. A Blizzard just tastes so good.

This place is kind of pricey but I'm glad that we have a Pinkberry in Michigan! This is the only froyo place where I will order the plain tart flavor. They make it so tangy and refreshing, it's perfect. You can sample here too, which is nice. They have a decent selection of toppings, including fresh fruit, chocolate wafers, these crispy dark chocolate balls which I always order, and other sweet goodies. Pinkberry is definitely a treat I look forward to when I'm at Briarwood.

I wish this wasn't the only Pinkberry in Michigan, because I live in Troy and my aunt always gives me Pinkberry gift cards for Christmas. But I digress ... I'm in Ann Arbor about once a month to visit friends and go out to eat, since A2RW was this week we had lunch downtown then drove to the mall for Pinkberry. Pros of Pinkberry: the froyo is always good (especially the chocolate hazelnut flavor), toppings are fresh, service is decent. Cons: seems like they don't have a ton of topping or flavor choices (always only 6 flavors) as compared to other froyo places I've been to. I WILL say that their froyo tastes a bit better than others I've had though. Pinkberry, why not open a location in downtown A2, or maybe even Troy or Detroit? Please and thank you. :)

Of course I was curious about Pinkberry. I'd been hearing about it from left coast friends for years. So, when it opened at Briarwood Mall I decided to give it a shot. In general I'm a fan of tart yogurt places. When I lived in Chicago I lived around the corner from a Red Mango and I miss it daily. So, I wasn't surprised by the fact that I enjoyed Pinkberry's offerings as well. Smooth, a little tart and a little sweet, and great flavor. I've tried the chocolate, peanut butter, and fruit offerings and each fulfill a different need when I'm craving something. If I want something sweeter I go for a chocolate or PB with some more indulgent and crunchy toppings (like chocolate crisps, Nutella, etc). If I want something more refreshing I'll go with a vanilla or a pomegranate with some fruit. Works for me whatever I want and it's not as calorie laden as an ice cream cone would be, which is awesome. I've never been to another Pinkberry so I don't know how it lines up with the ones out in CA but the toppings offered here are varied and fresh. The fruit always looks bright and juicy, not wilted and sad. The sweeter more premium toppings are a great splurge. I particularly like the melty chocolate with the crispy bites. It's gooey and feels like a great splurge. I just wish it was dark chocolate! Yes, prices are higher, which can be unfortunate, but this is one instance of "you get what you pay for." The toppings are quality and, as I mentioned, really fresh. The taste is great and it's good for you, comparatively speaking. The only bummer is that since this is in a mall I don't go as often as I probably would if it were a storefront somewhere. The idea of finding parking around the mall then trekking to center of the building to get a fro-yo isn't all that appealing. If I'm craving something like that It's much easier for me to go down the street to Swirlberry at Plum Market or something. BUT when I'm in the mall I definitely can't pass it up. It's a great sweet treat without expending a lot of calories, which is a welcome change from the cornucopia of Mrs. Field's and Pretzel Peddlers such that make up the mall snack landscape. Pro-tip: If you have a smart phone and download their free app you get a free small yogurt with toppings! Do it. Save yourself a few bucks!

Terrible, don't understand what the fuss is all about. I've been to knockoffs all over the state/country, and they're far better than Pinkberry. That's mind-blowing. Hype is what is keeping them in business. Staff here are kind of rude, but maybe it's just Ann Arbor, who knows?

  • Jenny K.

Wow, 4 dollar signs? People are really hating on Pinkberry here. Sure, it's kind of pricey, but, there's something so refreshing about that tart frozen yogurt topped with fresh fruit and mochi bites that has me craving it at all hours. Trust me, you need to get it with fruit and mochi to get that real sense of satisfaction and refreshment, none of this candy and cereal topping business. Note: It's not vanilla flavored froyo ala TCBY, so getting oreo topping is not going to make it into a cookies and cream treat, but some "Ack" experience. Then you'll curse yourself for spending $5 and hate this place for life.

I never ever thought I would give Pinkberry only 2 stars, I almost gave it 3 but that would be based on the fact that I have been DYING to go back to CA and it would have been one of the first thing I would have got there (after in n out burger of course) so to save me the wait and the trip I was excited to see it in a mall in Ann Arbour. Strange set up having a stand in the middle of the mall, and I like the do it yourself way better than having them make it for you. So I had to ask for sample of all the flavors before I fork over $4 for a small and I mean tiny cup and thats without topping, those are 75 cent each and you get a teaspoon, which was not worth it for me. It was very tart which I am not a fan of and I had a tough time deciding which one I would want to pay that much for at all. Finally I decided on chocolate and peanut butter since the chocolate was the sweetest (stiill not sweet in the least) and I love peanut buutter. This one however tasted like satly peanut, not creamy, no chunks, just salt and raw peanut, not the best. Well, now I know and can more on to better things, at least they gave it to me in a cone for no extra charge but the cone was more than half empty, it was crazy expensive and not to my liking.

Ordered the original mixed with peach. Added fresh mango and coconut. It actually tasted like frozen yogurt! I was definitely pleased. Con: this is inside the mall; we got some seats next to an active construction site so the atmosphere could have been better. Good thing the frozen yogurt was yummy!

Good yogurt of course. I like tart and this was duly awesome tart yogurt. Impressive in all but atmosphere. The prices are fair enough, the service great but without the total experience it felt oddly flat. I was so excited to drag my husband here but he remained puzzled as to why even after we finished eating. "Was that...ummm...it?", he asked as we walked off. "Sort of" I answered a bit wistfully. Basically if you are already a Pinkberry fan you will love the yogurt and still leave a bit unsatisfied. If you are not a Pinkberry fan this locale probably will not convert you into one. You will sample and just not get it.

Wait...what is that...in the sky?? Is it a pig? Yes! I think it is! A pig..and its flying!!!! That is the thought that popped in my head when I heard that a Pinkberry was actually opening in Michigan. I am a Pinkberry addict. ADDICT. Nothing beats Pinkberry if you are a tart yogurt fan. In my time spent living in New York and California I probably ate a Pinkberry 5 out of the 7 days of the week. See...I told you...I am an addict. So back to what I was saying before..I never never never NEVER thought Michigan would get a Pinkberry. I mean, come on! We still do not have a Jamba Juice! This weekend was the opening of Michgan's first PInkberry. Needless to say this addict needed to make a trip. I live about 45 minutes from Ann Arbor AND there was a football game today...but that did not stop me! Ok...so now you are probably realizing that this addict did not give this particular Pinkberry 5 stars. Here is the issue. The first Pinkberry to exist in Michigan is in the strangest place. It just kind of has a stand in the middle of the mall. The layout just looks like it could be picked up and moved anywhere. I miss the weird Pinkberry techno music pumping through the store. I miss the overpriced strange trinkets you can buy at other Pinkberrys. And most of all I miss the signature Pinkberry pebble floor. So how did the yogurt taste? Well DUH people. This is Pinkberry! Of course it tasted AMAZING. Like I said before PInkberry is like the mecca of tart frozen yogurt. Perfect amount of tartness, perfect consistency, perfect taste. Pinkberry yogurt is perfection. Every Pinkberry fan also knows that their topping bar is the best. TONS of fresh fruit, candy, cereal, cookies, brownies...the list goes on and on. Anything you could desire to top your yogurt with they have. Their staff is very well trained. There were about 15 people swirling yogurt in this tiny little stand. I was pretty impressed with the staffing...and OF COURSE everyone had their huge Pinkberry smile on and overly friendly attitude. I know the Pinkberry deal. I am pretty sure when you open one store your are required to open several others. I am just hoping and praying that a REAL store makes its way into the state of Michigan...preferably in Royal Oak (HINT HINT HINT). Welcome to Michigan PInkberry! This addict is VERY glad to see you again!

I am not officially lactose intolerant, but my body hates me when i eat milk, ice cream or yogurt. I can have it in small doses. This is the first and only Pinkberry I have been to, and I love it. Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable about the products. Even the new ones. I was disappointing to find out my favorite flavor, Peach, has been discontinued. BUT the new pomegranate is almost just as good. I went to this location to just get a small size froyo but ended up leaving with a large smoothie and a quart size mixed for later. I ate the whole damn quart that night. AND I DIDN'T EVEN GET SICK. These guys are super chill and have awesome service skills. Eat here. seriously.

I've heard about Pinkberry for years and have always planned on making a trip to one while out in California. Now there is one in MI! The froyo is the best... hands down However, Ann Arbor is a college town. Yes, while many that live here are affluent there is still an abundance of college-aged kids that cannot afford $5.00 for a small cup of ice cream (flavor +topping). The prices are outrageous, especially for frozen yogurt. There are many other shops around AA that provide unique toppings on froyo at affordable prices. I would love to eat Pinkberry every day but it's just not economical. But honestly, it's addicting. Something about the cool-tartness keeps me coming back and burning a hole in my wallet. I smite the Pinkberry gods for making a product so delicious that people will pay exuberant prices for it. Oh and, the customer service is top-notch!
